The modern 2.5-room apartment with one bedroom is personally run by the Julen family and offers you a very special retreat in the heart of Zermatt. Here you can enjoy your holiday in complete privacy – with plenty of space, peace and a unique view of the Wallis mountain world.

The special highlight awaits you outside: on the spacious terrace, the outdoor lounge invites you to relax and linger. For your very own private wellness break, an own jacuzzi is available.
Even more relaxation is offered by the private sauna with Matterhorn view, which can be used as either a bio or Finnish sauna, depending on your preference. In the adjoining relaxation room, you can switch off, unwind and recharge your energy.

Breakfast at Hotel Julen
You do not have to forgo the comfort of the Tradition Julen Hotels when it comes to food either. Hotel Julen is just 5 minutes’ walk away, where you can start the day with a varied breakfast.
For the evening, our dine-around option is ideal: let yourself be pampered at Restaurant Julen or Restaurant Alpenhof. Both restaurants are only a short stroll from the apartment.

The modern Alpen Style apartment offers one bedroom, a living area with sofa bed and a fully equipped kitchen. Do you have high standards when it comes to privacy and plenty of space? Do you love relaxing surrounded by the beauty of nature? Then you are perfectly at home in the View & Spa Appartement by Tradition Julen. Also ideal for 2 adults and 1 child.
Free use of the SPA in the Tradition Julen Hotel and in the Hotel Alpenhof **** Superior is included in the price. A large breakfast buffet awaits you daily in the Tradition Julen Hotel - just 5 minutes' walk from the apartment.
On request, half board can also be booked in the Restaurant Julen
Check-in takes place at the Hotel Julen. The View & Spa Apartment is located at Riedstrasse 88 in Chalet Bergfried, about a 5-minute walk from the hotel with 80 steps up to the house (no lift). Please let us know your arrival time; we will be happy to collect you from Zermatt station.

Yes, gladly! We will pick you up on your arrival at the Bahnhof Zermatt.
Please contact the relevant reception by telephone or e-mail, ideally as soon as you are on the train to Zermatt and can see your exact arrival time on the display in the train.
That way, we can coordinate the pick-up service optimally for you.
Our concierge will be waiting for you on your arrival at the official car park directly in front of Zermatt station.
You can easily recognise our electric vehicles: they are black, decorated all around with sheep motifs and our hotel logo. The hotel logo is on the driver’s door and, on the tailgate, our sheep has: „Let's talk about holidays“.
This way, you can find our concierge quickly and easily when you arrive.
Yes, some of the wall pictures you discover in our restaurants, hotels and apartments can also be purchased.
Yes, breakfast is included in both hotels as well as in the View & Spa Apartment.
The Rio Apartments are offered without breakfast and on a self-catering basis. However, breakfast can be added for CHF 30.– per person. In this case, breakfast is not delivered to the apartment, but served in the hotel.
No, the hotel does not have any accessible rooms. Some suites and the View & Spa Apartment are only accessible via stairs.
Yes. The wellness facilities of both hotels are also accessible to guests with an apartment booking with us.
Yes. Both hotels have a ski room, where each room has its own locker for storing skis and ski boots. Guests of the Rio have their own ski room. Guests of the View & Spa Apartments have their own locker in the Hotel Julen.
A taxi ride from the hotel or apartment to the gondola station costs approximately CHF 30.00. The exact price can vary depending on the taxi company and the journey.
Check-out is possible until the following times:
- Hotel Julen & Hotel Alpenhof: until 11:00 am
- Apartments: until 10:00 am
A late check-out is possible, subject to availability. The following prices apply:
- Until 14:00: CHF 50.–
- 14:00 to 16:00: 50 % of the room rate for the following night
- From 16:00: full room rate for the following night
Yes, an early departure is gladly possible.
Please settle your bill the evening before by no later than 22:00 at reception. For your early departure, our night porter will be happy to arrange the transfer to the station or taxi rank in Zermatt.
