No, breakfast for CHF 30.00 per person is served either at Hotel Julen or Hotel Alpenhof, please let us know your choice in advance.
A taxi ride from the hotel or apartment to the gondola station costs approximately CHF 30.00. The exact price can vary depending on the taxi company and the journey.
Yes. Both hotels have a ski room, where each room has its own locker for storing skis and ski boots. Guests of the Rio have their own ski room. Guests of the View & Spa Apartments have their own locker in the Hotel Julen.
The Rio Spa is 170 m² in size and has 2 bedrooms, 2 additional beds and its own jacuzzi. The Rio Penthouse Apartment is 220 m² in size, has 2 bedrooms, offers Matterhorn views and has a fireplace.
Yes. The apartments in the Rio have fully equipped kitchens with cooking utensils as well as a dining table with crockery.
Yes. Free Wi-Fi is available in the Rio. The access details are on the tablets on the wall. There is also a QR code there for a quick connection.
Yes. The wellness facilities of both hotels are also accessible to guests with an apartment booking with us.
Yes. The 5-course evening meal can be added at the special price of CHF 60.00 per person in the restaurant Julen or in the restaurant Im Hof.
Yes, breakfast is included in both hotels as well as in the View & Spa Apartment.
The Rio Apartments are offered without breakfast and on a self-catering basis. However, breakfast can be added for CHF 30.– per person. In this case, breakfast is not delivered to the apartment, but served in the hotel.
No, there is no washing machine or iron available in Haus Rio. However, you are welcome to use the laundry service of Hotel Julen or Hotel Alpenhof.

Yes, one extra bed per apartment is available on request and at an additional charge.
Yes, you can rent the entire House Rio together. In total, up to 10 people can be comfortably accommodated there.
No, the whirlpool belongs exclusively to the Rio Spa Apartment and is only available to guests of this apartment.
No, the apartments are without catering. Breakfast or dinner can be booked at the hotel, or you can order from a restaurant with delivery.
Yes, a one-off cleaning in the Rio is included in the price during your stay. Please arrange the desired cleaning date directly with the hotel reception the day before.
No, you can take the ski bus, which stops 150 metres up the river just before the Klein Matterhorn Station, or order a taxi.
Yes, for arrival and departure you can ask our hotel porter for a transfer to the Rio Apartment.

Yes, the Rio Penthouse offers a full Matterhorn view. In the Rio Spa, the Matterhorn is partially visible from the bedroom.
Yes, some of the wall pictures you discover in our restaurants, hotels and apartments can also be purchased.
Our concierge will be waiting for you on your arrival at the official car park directly in front of Zermatt station.
You can easily recognise our electric vehicles: they are black, decorated all around with sheep motifs and our hotel logo. The hotel logo is on the driver’s door and, on the tailgate, our sheep has: „Let's talk about holidays“.

Yes, gladly! We will pick you up on your arrival at the Bahnhof Zermatt.
Please contact the relevant reception by telephone or e-mail, ideally as soon as you are on the train to Zermatt and can see your exact arrival time on the display in the train.

Yes, dogs are warmly welcome at Hotel Julen and at Hotel Alpenhof.
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in our Apartments.

- Hotel Julen & Hotel Alpenhof: until 11:00 am
- Apartments: until 10:00 am
A late check-out is possible, subject to availability. The following prices apply:
- Until 14:00: CHF 50.–
- 14:00 to 16:00: 50 % of the room rate for the following night
- From 16:00: full room rate for the following night
Yes, an early departure is gladly possible.
Please settle your bill the evening before by no later than 22:00 at reception. For your early departure, our night porter will be happy to arrange the transfer to the station or taxi rank in Zermatt.
