Join us on an e-bike ride up to see the black nose sheep grazing on the alpine meadows and find out lots of interesting facts about this endemic race of sheep. This provides the opportunity for the Julen family to introduce you to these fascinating animals.

Hay Harvest

When the weather is fine we will be out cutting hay in the alpine meadows from mid-June until mid-July 2018. Why not lend a hand with this age-old tradition in and around Zermatt, Täsch and Randa and experience the satisfaction of physical labour and the wonderful fragrances of Zermatt alpine hay.

Hike to the black nose sheep

Join us on a hike to the flock of the black nose sheep above the Stafelalp. By cable car we arrive at the mountain station Schwarzsee. After a short hike from Schwarzsee we reach the summer alp of the Julen’s black nose sheeps.

Swiss National Day

The official 1st August ceremony takes place in the morning at the idyllic location of Stellisee at 2'537 metres above sea level. A magnificent fireworks display takes place in the evening with a spectacular display by Zermatt’s mountain guides and firemen.
