Hike to the black nose sheep in August

02.08.2017 – 30.08.2017

Join us on a hike to the flock of the black nose sheep above the Stafelalp. By cable car we arrive at the mountain station Schwarzsee. After a short hike from Schwarzsee we reach the summer alp of the Julen’s black nose sheeps. This provides the opportunity for Paul-Marc Julen to introduce you to these fascinating animals.

The Julen family holds with over 300 black nose sheeps worldwide the largest breeding.  Directly under the imposing north face of the Matterhorn you are invited to enjoy a good glass of wine with cheese and meat from the Julens’ own production. After another 30-minutes walk down we arrive at the Restaurant Stafelalp.

For Tradition Julen guests the hike is free. External guests pay CHF 10.- per person for the hike (costs for the ride Zermatt-Schwarzsee excluded).
