"Romeo und Julia am Gornergrat"
The theatrical highlight „Romeo and Julia at the Gornergrat“ will be performed outdoors at Riffelberg, on 2'600 metres above sea level with views of the famous Matterhorn mountain. The author Livia Anne Richard has transformed the universal love story Romeo and Juliet into a Zermatt mountain farmer tale. The performances are spoken in Valais Swiss German with written descriptions of the scenes in German, French and English.
The ticket for the open-air theater includes the ride with the Gornergrat train. A refund of the ticket is excluded. If the theater is canceled (bad weather) you can change the date. Children receive tickets at reduced prices until their 17th birthday.
Note: The performances will be happening in all weather conditions, as long as the spectators' safety is ensured. Therefore warm and weatherproof clothing as well as sun protection must be brought along. Cool temperatures can be expected. Umbrellas are not allowed, as they impair visibility and acoustics.
